Société Internationale des Bibliothèques et des Musées des Arts du Spectacle (SIBMAS), or the International Association of Libraries and Museums of the Performing Arts, has recently launched an international directory of performing arts collections and institutions database. This database currently contains over 7,000 international institutions that house materials relating to the performing arts. The subject categories include theatre, opera, music, ballet, film, circus, radio, television, cabaret, and pantomime. For any selected institution, the database provides both basic information and information regarding the collections housed there. Viewers may search the database by institution name, collections, or geographical location.
