In December, the US Departments of Education and Justice jointly issued their annual report on school safety. This document provides data on "the nature and scope of school violence in the United States," highlights 54 communities that are implementing "the collaborative, problem-solving model" featured in last year's Report, presents summary information on successful prevention programs around the country, and "lists resources for more information about school safety and crime issues."
