Canadian Government Information on the Internet

Canadian Government Information on the Internet (CGII) serves as a reference guide to publicly available government information, providing access to a wealth of Internet-based resources. CGII consists of seven sections: Major Sites, Federal Information, Provincial Information, Municipal Information, Discussion Lists, Library Catalogues, and Electronic Journals. Each section contains an orderly collection of annotated links. The strengths of CGII, as a metasite collocating Canadian government information, reside in its thoughtful organization and the usefulness of its well-written annotations. CGII is maintained by the Government of Canada's Depository Services Program (DSP); content is contributed by document specialists nationwide, and CGII's creator, Anita Cannon, a reference librarian at Mount Allison University, acts as the managing editor. CGII is also available in French.
