The US Geological Survey maintains maps of geological and environmental features in the US. Now, finding a map has been made easier through the creation of Online Map Lists, a list that provides information exclusively on USGS published topographic maps and a small number of related maps. Researchers, students, and map enthusiasts may view or search for maps by state, specific map name, or latitude and longitude. Within longitude and latitude users can specify a 1-degree by 1-degree block of latitude and longitude to retrieve a list of all published USGS topographic maps within that block.
