In 1889, Granta was founded as a student literary magazine at Cambridge University; over the years it has published works by Sylvia Plath and A.A. Milne. In 1979, Granta ceased to be a student publications and became one of the most popular literary journals in the world. Published quarterly in twelve different international editions, Granta features fiction, poetry, essays and memoir, art and photography, and interviews.
