Probably the most useful of these is JournalSeek, which contains information such as aims and scope, journal abbreviations, impact factors, Web links, ISSNs, and availability of abstracts and/or full-text online for over 8,500 journals. Users may browse by subject (over 30) or search by keyword or by several criteria under an advanced search. Other databases include SoftwareSeek, a collection of over 1,000 free and commercial software and online tools for molecular biology and biochemistry; GenomeSeek, a linked list of over 100 microbial genome projects; and BookSeek, which contains hundreds of biology-related books with links to purchase information. The latter three databases are all browseable and searchable in the same manner as JournalSeek.
