The collection can be searched by keyword, title, artist, object number, or gallery number. Alternately, readers may browse by category (Classification, Work Type, Technique/Medium, Period, Place, and others). While the the site boasts many exceptional aspects, one particularly notable strength is the beauty and clarity of the photographs. Looking at a 10th century Chinese vase on the site is, exceptionally, a close approximation of encountering such a masterpiece in person.
