The US Global Change Research Information Office (GCRIO) has placed online their report entitled "Our Changing Planet: The FY 1999 Global Change Research Program." The report summarizes the program's recent research and outlines their plans for the future. Included is a National Assessment of the Consequences of Climate Change Impact, which discusses the ecological and economic impacts of climate change on the US. A detailed overview of the FY99 USGCRP budget is appended, and the site reminds its visitors that achieving the goals of the program "will require continued strong support for the scientific research needed to improve understanding of how human activities are affecting the global environment, and of how natural and human-induced change is affecting society."
