Housed at the New York Public Library, the Thomas Addis Emmet Collection contains over 10,000 historical manuscripts relating chiefly to the periods prior to, during, and following the American Revolution. Over the past few years, a number of key documents have been digitized and are now available here. The materials are organized into 28 series, including "The Siege of Savannah, 1779," "The Articles of Confederation," and "Howe's Virginia." Each section contains a brief summary of each document, along with particulars on their provenance and related matters. Additionally, visitors can filter their search by keyword or year and they can also create their own collection of documents for future consultation.
