Costumes and Textiles is the first in a series of Digital Interactive Galleries (DIG) presented by the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington. These galleries are "experimental, web-based introductions to specific mediums, subjects, and issues in art and design, all illustrated with images of objects in the Henry's collection." The Costumes and Textiles series provides several ways to explore this area of museum collecting. For example, view images of garments worn for specific occasions, such as a strapless evening gown with a full skirt, designed by Norman Norell, seen in the pages of the February 1950 issue of Vogue magazine and once worn by Lauren Bacall.
