A history of the romantic period unfolds at this site created by Allen Liu of the University of California, Santa Barbara and Laura Mandell of Miami University of Ohio. Intended as a university-level instructional tool, the Romantic Chronology is divided into twelve time periods, each of which contains a number of external and internal links to short informative pieces on significant political and literary events and personalities of the Romantic Movement. A fairly comprehensive collection of links (some annotated) to courses, websites, and other resources for students and teachers of the Romantic Period, as well as to other historical and literary times, is featured.
