Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC)

With operations beginning in 1991, "the Network for the Detection of Stratospheric Change (NDSC) is a set of high-quality remote-sounding research stations for observing and understanding the physical and chemical state of the stratosphere" and is supported by the International Ozone Commission, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). Researchers can receive verified NDSC data such as ozone, temperature, and aerosol profiles. Users can observe the temperature lidar, ozone microwave, and other instruments and measurements employed. Students can find answers to common questions dealing with the ozone layers, causes of its depletion, and the Connections between Climate Change and Ozone Depletion. The site also contains newly added images of the station, the equipment, the scenery, and much more.
