This site is one of several projects related to the foundation of a National Museum of Women's History in Washington, DC. Although the physical museum itself is yet to be built, NMWH the organization has been sponsoring and collaborating in Women's history initiatives nationwide. The first exhibit in the NMWH cybermuseum marks the 150th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention and "examines the development of a distinct female political culture and imagery that evolved to promote voting rights for women." Users can browse the gallery of 50 images or take a more in-depth tour of the woman's suffrage movement. The former offers fast-loading and nicely-digitized images of a variety of artifacts with brief descriptions. The latter traces the history of the woman suffrage movement and its political imagery with topical paragraphs and selected images. Additional resources include a timeline, quiz, and collection of related resources.
