METLA, the Finnish Forest Research Institute, has placed online the journal Silva Fennica, covering original, peer-reviewed research articles, review articles, research notes, discussion papers, book reviews, and information related to forest science. Topics mostly pertain to Finland, but the journal targets international participation and readership. Full content of Silva Fennica is available for free (registration required) through December 1999, and a search option provides access to articles since 1994.
