The American Academy of Pediatrics is now offering an online extension of its monthly peer-reviewed print journal Pediatrics. Access is free until July 1997, at which time it will remain free to subscribers of the print edition. AAP promises to provide 6-10 exclusive research articles every month at the site. Progress of Nations 1997

The United Nations Children's Fund released the 1997 versions of Progress of Nations. This publication assesses the well being of the world's nations in terms of sanitation, nutrition, health, education, and women. Each section is accompanied by a "Progress and Disparity" section, and the entire publication includes a social indicators and statistical profiles table.

Progress of Nations 2000

UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) has once again posted its annual report, "The Progress of Nations," online. This year's report places special focus on HIV/AIDS, immunization, early childhood care, and "lost children." The report is posted in HTML and .pdf formats with a number of statistical profiles.
