Science and Engineering Indicators is a biennial report of the National Science Board on the trends and capabilities of technical fields within the United States. The document is made to help government and corporate policy makers consider the best directions to take for their respective organization, but it also offers valuable insights into the country's growth. It is a very comprehensive analysis (over 400 pages long), and can be downloaded as a single file or viewed online in several sections.
