CORIOLIS was begun by French scientists in 1997 in order to combine satellite and in situ data from the global oceans, particularly the Atlantic. The CORIOLIS Website provides links to data from the project's floats. The data come from T-S profiles and time series from profiling floats, XBT's, thermo-salinographs, drifting, and moored buoys. Regularly updated Provor maps and charts are arranged by date, locality, and profile float number. Numerical data on sea surface temperature, temperature maps, and a float locality map with zoom-in capability are among the wealth of sea temperature data available here. Users will also find links to a list of the oceanographic vessels involved and the CORIOLOS project's homepage.
