Learning from Clients: Assessment Tools for Microfinance Practitioners

Published by the Small Enterprise and Education Promotion (SEEP) Network, Learning from Clients: Assessment Tools for Microfinance Practitioners is a 365-page manual addressing the uses of impact assessment tools in microfinance. The manual offers "practical, detailed, step-by-step guidance to interested and committed organizations willing to invest staff time and a moderate amount of financial resources to gain a deeper understanding of their programs." Learning from Clients contains detailed information on five tools: Impact Surveys, Client Exit Surveys, Loan Use Strategies Over Time, Client Satisfaction, and Client Empowerment. It also offers a chapter on the scheduling and budgeting of an impact assessment. The authors of the manual see this document as a draft manual and they welcome comments and suggestions from future users.
