A collaborative effort of LOEN (the Oceanographic Laboratory of the French Naval Academy, Brest) and the Museum of Natural History in Paris, the Illustrated list of the Crustacea, Decapoda and Stomatopoda of French Polynesia includes some 750 species, some of which are photo-illustrated. Offered in French and English, the site gives brief summaries of each group (prawns & shrimps, crabs, lobsters, hermit crabs, and mantis shrimps), a bibliography of "carcinological researches in French Polynesia," and a summary of recent updates to the species list.
