Global Oneness Project

The Global Oneness Project "offers free multicultural stories and accompanying lesson plans for high school and college classrooms." On the site readers will find short films, photo essays, and articles that investigate the possibilities of bridging differences. For example, in Ann Shin's short film, "My Enemy, My Brother," two soldiers, who first encounter one another in combat during the Iran-Iraq war, meet again in Canada 20 years later. The accompanying lesson plan, "Our Shared Humanity," outlines a 60-minute lesson, complete with sections detailing the Key Idea, Background, Setting the Stage, and Engaging with the Story. A set of discussion questions to help students delve deeper into the story are also available, as well as links to Common Core standards.
