BLIS is the official database of the statutory Laws of Hong Kong and selected constitutional documents. These include Hong Kong Letters Patent, Standing Orders of the Legislative Council, the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and National laws applying to Hong Kong. Visitors can use common or special search functions. Amendments made after June 30, 1997 are stored as separate documents, allowing users to compare particular laws before and after the transfer of power. The site is also available in Chinese; a bilingual glossary of terms used in the Laws is planned for the near future.
