ASEV honors a research lecturer who is actively involved in scientific research and has a current national or international reputation in their field of research.
Davis, Calif., March 27, 2024…Mark Battany, a farm advisor with the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources, has been confirmed as the American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) 2024 Extension Distinction Award recipient. He will be presenting, “Flipping dimensions: A vertical weather view helps illuminate vineyard challenges,” at the 75th ASEV National Conference in Portland, Oregon, on June 19, 2024.
DAVIS, Calif., March 12, 2024…The exploration of hydrogen sulfide formation in canned wines and biological control for grapevine trunk disease in Canada took top research honors for the 2024 American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) Best Paper Awards.
The selected papers will be presented at the 2024 ASEV National Conference in Portland, Oregon, on June 17-20. Authors will be presented with a plaque and each paper will receive a monetary award to be shared among the authors.
