Disconnect is a browser extension to block user tracking from major third-parties like social media sites (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), web analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar), and advertising networks (e.g., Google Ads, Doubleclick). In contrast to the private mode provided by most browsers, which prevents the browser from saving browsing history on your local computer, Disconnect prevents third-party sites on the internet from storing your browsing history.
