This minimalist tool, which can be downloaded for free on any Mac computer, allows users to write and save their work - and write and save only. Origins does not allow users to delete text, copy and paste, scroll, or edit and modify their work. The idea is to push writers to complete brainstorm sessions or first drafts without the constraints of editing or perfectionism. Origins is available in four different themes; documents are saved in plaintext.
